NOTE: This system will not work with the newer style trunk spring.
This system allows you to install an actuator so that your trunk can be opened using a remote (not included) or a manual switch (not included). Includes the actuator pre-mounted on a special plate, linkage rod, relay, relay socket, all of the components included with the K1023DP Trunk Latch Pop-Up Kit and complete instructions.
It is compatible with all of our Remote Door Opening Systems or as a stand-alone upgrade to your existing keyless entry system as long as your system can provide a negative output for this function (contact us for more details).
A unique feature of this kit is that it will not increase the stress on the manual trunk release release cable like some other modifications do, such as adding a stronger or second spring to the latch arm.
This kit is also adjustable so that the correct amount of “pop” can be set. A slight trimming modification is required to the plastic latch cover to provide clearance to the spring assist rod assembly.
